Hi Friends,
Over the past few months, we’ve been quietly building something new.
It started as a small experiment during a time of uncertainty—when funding cuts and travel freezes were hitting our sector hard. We weren’t sure where it would go. But it quickly turned into something that felt... worth sharing early with my most loyal readers here.
It’s called Kolab.
Kolab is a next-generation digital facilitation platform designed for programs and communities that meet online—
Not just once.
Not just for webinars.
But for real connection, over time.
We built Kolab for:
✅ Fellowship programs
✅ Strategic planning and design sessions
✅ Accelerators & incubators
✅ Coaching and leadership programs
✅ Virtual networking and community-building
✅ Global teams who co-create across time zones
And we’ve poured everything we’ve learned from 15+ years of running virtual learning and community spaces into the experience:
🧭 Persistent rooms that hold your materials and context
🧠 Collaborative canvases built for real-time co-creation
🎥 Embedded video and spatial audio that feels like you’re actually in the room
⚙️ Facilitation tools and templates that help you run smooth, meaningful sessions
We’re not trying to replace Zoom or Miro or Google Docs. But we are hoping to reduce the friction of toggling between all of them—and make space for something more thoughtful. More human.
Because here’s the thing:
The current stack of tools isn’t cutting it.
It’s fragmented. It’s transactional. And it often strips the soul out of virtual gatherings.
Kolab is our attempt to change that.
We’ll be using it to run our upcoming AI for Business Development course with Free Will / Grant Assistant next month.
And then we’re opening it up to a small group of early users.

There’s a lot of doom and gloom in the sector right now.
This has been one of the most energizing things I’ve worked on in a long time.
And it’d mean a lot to have your support—whether that’s trying the tool, sharing it with someone who might benefit, or just cheering us on.
More soon,
Nick
P.S. We’d love your help getting the word out—feel free to forward this or tag a friend. Sharing is CARING.
