Parting Thought
Friends, did you know that I am an ex-poetry major?
AND this year I will let this passion for poetry shine again at GDDF!
📣 Calling all poets and digital enthusiasts! 📣
Digital development is about more than just data, tech, and regulation—it's about humans. And what better way to tap into our humanity than through poetry?
Introducing our first-ever Digital Development Poetry Contest! 🌟
Align your verses with one of the three themes of this year's GDDF:
1. 21st Century Development
2. Overcoming Digital Downsides
3. Pushing the Frontiers of Development
Post your poems right here on LinkedIn by May 1st, and don't forget to include the #GDDF2024 and tag TechChange. Human-powered and GenAI entries accepted!
🏆 AND I will be reviewing entries to crown the winner. 🏆
Finalists will have their poems shared on social media leading up to GDDF this year, and the ultimate winner will receive a free ticket to the GDDF DC Local Event on June 13th and have their poem read aloud by ME (YEYY).
📝Here's a little poetic inspiration to get your creative juices flowing:
In a realm where data's the norm,
And tech's rapid pace takes its form,
Poetry's call is heard clear,
For all to draw near,
In verse, let our humanity warm! 🚀
For the Digital Development scene,
A contest, lively and keen,
Themes of great might,
In words, take flight,
By May 1st, let your lines gleam! 🌟
With friends as judges, let's compete,
In poetry, we'll find our beat,
With expertise profound,
In words, we'll astound,
To crown the best, let's take a seat! 🏆
So poets, with pens at the ready,
Let's craft verses steady and steady,
With themes to explore,
And TechChange's rapport,
In limericks, let's keep it heady! 🎉
