Explore a captivating collection of FREE digital artwork that showcases intergenerational collaboration and diversity!
CoGenerate, formerly known as Encore.org, unites older and younger generations to co-create a better future. They noticed the shortcomings of stock art in portraying generational collaboration beyond family ties. To address this, CoGenerate partnered with Fine Acts, commissioning diverse artists to paint a powerful picture of intergenerational collaboration in response to current challenges.
The incredible collection comprises 33 illustrations and over 30 symbols, published under an open non-commercial license for anyone to use. This initiative resonates with me as I've experienced the profound impact of connecting with people of different ages:
💡 In my senior high school years, a remarkable Sunday school teacher in her 70s worked on space law for the State Department (!!!). Regular gatherings with her inspired a brighter future.
🚀 When I started my venture, TechChange, in my late 20s, wisdom from friends and colleagues with decades of experience was invaluable.
🎓 Now, as a professor in my 40s, I find immense joy in learning from my students, bringing innovation to social impact challenges. I'm determined to amplify their wisdom and insights.
This collection of digital artwork from CoGenerate and Fine Acts celebrates the power of intergenerational collaboration.
I’ve included a few of my favorite artworks in the carousel below. Want to see more? Head over to their website and be inspired by the powerful artwork on display

Parting Thought
🎓 My goal with this newsletter is to bring you the best and greatest opportunities in social impact, and that includes scholarships, fellowships, and grants that can help you get paid to study or get a great discount to study in grad school.
So in today's parting thought, I leave you with these 5 tips for finding more scholarship funding 📚💰:
Always negotiate with the university if you’re admitted. It never hurts to ask and be aggressive. But remember, even 10% off 200K is still 180K. Consider deferring for a year to seek other funding sources. Ask lots of questions about what “full tuition” means and how it works during capstone, thesis, etc.
Talk to other recent graduates: What do they wish they knew? Was it worth it? How much are they earning now? Do the math and the research about salary expectations and job responsibilities in places and positions you might want to pursue post-graduation.
Research every possible scholarship opportunity. Use sites like GoGrad and ProFellow to see if there are opportunities you might be able to capitalize on. Look local as often there are scholarship opportunities in your city or state. Plan in advance! Some universities have partnerships with programs like Peace Corps to reduce tuition costs.
Ask your employer: It was a diminishing practice but now is starting to happen more again as employers fight to retain talent. Some employers will pay partial tuition for graduate school, especially if the skills from the program are aligned with your job responsibilities. Or…. Work at the university you want to study at . Staff tuition waivers can be quite generous.
Get creative: Be open to a non-traditional path. Go IN-STATE, take classes slowly (1-2 at a time) while working full-time and pay out of pocket. Go Abroad. There are SO many excellent universities that are a fraction of US university costs.
Don't forget: Help us grow and spread the word about the #NickatNoon Newsletter by sharing it with your friends and colleagues. Let them join our ever-growing community of change-makers, where we explore meaningful jobs, exclusive events, and inspiring stories together.
Stay tuned for our next edition, filled with even more curated opportunities and engaging content. 🌟
